It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Charles B. Rochon, who passed away December 2, 2016, in Spokane, WA.
Charlie was born on March 25, 1929 in Everett, WA where he lived for over 40 years. He graduated from Everett High School, class of 1948. He worked for Boeing before he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean War on the USS Natchaug and USS Chickaskia. After serving his country he came home and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 32 years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary, and was a Cub Scout pack leader.
He and his family moved to Eastern Washington in 1982. Charlie continued his love of farming. He also loved woodworking and building furniture for his family to enjoy.
Charlie was married to Mary Rochon (Scanlon) on January 29, 1955 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. They were married for 62 years.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary; and his 10 children: Dan (Mary), Pam, Ken (deceased) (Judy), Rosanne (Ray), Carolyn (Ken), Brian (Cielo), Colleen, Rob (Mary Beth), Mark (Michelle), and Monica (Mike); his 23 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters; and the rest of his relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Leona Rochon; his brother Ray; and his son, Kenneth.
Visitation and rosary will be held at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 515 W St. Thomas More Way, Spokane, WA, Friday, December 9, 2016, at 10:00 AM with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
