Carl Andrew Parks Sr.

Carl A. Parks Sr., 82, went to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday morning March 1, 2020. Carl was born on April 21, 1937 to James and Isabel (Ford) Parks in Clarkston, Washington. While in high school, attending Salem Bible Academy in Salem, Oregon, he met the love of his life, Sandra Johnson. They married right out of high school on April 30, 1955. They would soon add a total of 8 wonderful children in all to their bustling home. Over the years he owned a car lot, began an evangelical ministry and later enjoyed being a cartographer. Carl and Sandra celebrated 33 years of marriage before her death in November 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Isabel Parks; his two brothers, James Parks and Donald V. Parks; as well as his wife Sandra Johnson Parks; two children, Sharleen Parks and Timothy Parks; and two granddaughters, Tracy Parks and Miranda Cash. He is survived by six children: Debbie Parks of Spokane, WA; Daniel Parks and wife Linda of Sedro Woolley, WA; Carl (Andy) Parks Jr. and wife Evangeline of Sprague, WA; Jennifer Cash and husband Steve of Longview, WA; Carol Speaker of Worley, ID; and Ester Parks of Spokane, WA; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will be held on Friday March 13th from 4-8pm at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA. Interment and service for the family will be held at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston, WA with Ron Johnson officiating.
