Born November 5, 1933 in St. Maries, Idaho, she was the youngest of three children. Her father passed when she was 3 years old and they moved to Spokane, Washington where she met her husband, Ken, on a blind date while in high school.
On Christmas Eve, 1952, they married and moved to Camp Pendleton where Ken served in the Marine Corp. Upon returning to Spokane, Ken worked in construction and Audrey began a career with Prudential Insurance.
They were blessed with four children and after 40 years Audrey retired from Prudential and Ken built their dream home on Glen Lake in Montana. While living on the lake she was actively involved in quilting, investment club, playing bridge and Red Hats.
Audrey’s priority in life was her family. She endured much heartache with the loss of her husband after 59 years, her son, Matthew, and her daughter, Callie. She is survived by her daughters: Linda Horan, Connie Matthews (Bob), and her daughter-in-law, Candace Smith. She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Audrey will be laid to rest next to Ken in Spokane, Washington, on April 24, 2021. Viewing will be at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home; 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA, 8:00am – 11:30am. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace at 12:30pm.
