Sherry Kay Heineck née Perkins passed away in Spokane Valley on December 3, 2022 at the age of 75. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 27, 1947 to Robert Call Perkins (d) and Phyllis Mae Crutchfield Perkins (d).
The family moved from Salt Lake City to Spokane in 1952 where Sherry attended Irving Elementary School, Lewis and Clark High School (class of 1965) and Spokane Community College.
In 1967 Sherry was married to her loving and devoted husband Richard Heineck, also of Spokane. Sherry and Richard were actively involved in the 6th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Over the years they enjoyed traveling, cruising and gardening. Sherry enjoyed being a homemaker and looked forward to harvesting and preserving vegetables from her garden and fruit from numerous trees. She also served as a Camp Fire Girl leader. She enjoyed crafting including crochet and quilting. Her work documenting the family history, as a genealogist, was appreciated by all. Family and friends always looked forward to her annual Christmas letter documenting her many activities, travels, adventures and family updates.
She is survived by her husband Richard, and children Angi Heineck, Richard Heineck Jr. both of Spokane, five Grandchildren: Kindra, Andrew, Mya, Rick III, Helena and ten great grandchildren: Aaralynn, Liam, Samuel, Travis, Alyssa, Dylan, Sarah, Roman, Laykn, Lennox. She is also survived by her sisters Sandra and Sydney and brother Robert. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her sisters Susan and Sally.
