Bob was born to Harold F. McIntyre and Mary Anne McIntyre Memminger on November 21, 1952 in Mountain Home, Idaho. Being a child in an Air Force family meant frequent moves, but Bob was able to make friends and fit in no matter where he lived. He graduated from Washington Irving High School, Clarksburg, WV in 1970 and received a BA in Finance and Marketing from Eastern Washington University in 1975.
In 1981 he married Jan Marie Kinzer and together they welcomed daughter, Kari, whom they raised in the Spokane Valley. Sitting at a desk was not his preference, so Bob pursued a career in transportation working many years with Joey August Distributors.
Early on Bob was an avid sportsman participating in skiing, golf, fishing & hunting, but his passion was baseball. It didn't matter whether he was playing, coaching or watching; he loved it all.
With perseverance and determination, Bob courageously coped with the advances of Parkinson's Disease. He never lost his smile, his enthusiasm for the Eastern Eagles, or his love of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jan and daughter Kari McIntyre, sisters, Anne Stanley and Cathy Guthrie (Steve). He is also survived by nephew Mike Stanley (Jeni), nieces Sarah Germain (Steve), Jennifer Guthrie, and Stephanie Rosbach (Bryan).
In honor of Bob's memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at Darcy's Restaurant Spokane Valley on Feb. 24 from 1-3pm.
