Mark Karl Radmaker passed away on July 22, 2024 of natural causes at the age of 75 in his home in Greenacres, Washington. He was born on September 8, 1948 in Seattle, WA to Harold and Margaret Radmaker joining his older sister, Donna.
After graduation from Nathan Hale High School in 1966, he pursued a BS degree in Civil Engineering at WSU in Pullman, WA, graduating in 1970 with high honors. Soon after, Mark met his future wife, Suzanne “Sue,” and they married October 10, 1971. For 37 years Mark worked as a civil “structural” engineer at Garco Building Systems in Airway Heights. He eventually became VP of engineering and then part owner of the company.
Mark was a beloved husband of Sue and a loving, proud father to Keith Radmaker (Kelly) and Sara Johnsen (Erik). He was blessed with four grandchildren: Mason and Logan Radmaker and Livia and Evan Johnsen.
Mark and Sue raised their family in Spokane valley where they resided for 45 years. On their five acres in the country Mark enjoyed wildlife, tractoring and upon retirement, rebuilding a 1948 Ford panel van in his Garco “barn.” He spent many wonderful summers with family and friends at their cabin on the Pend Oreille River.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, sister, two brothers-in-law and survived by his children and grandchildren, brother-in-law, Scott, nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dept. of Civil Engineering at WSU, Pullman WA or Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary, 16602 N. Day Mt Spokane Rd, Mead, WA.
A Memorial Service will be held at Valley Real Life on October, 19 2024 at 1 PM.
