Lois Ann Claypool

Age 82

Though her memories had mostly faded, she knew Him when He came. Lois Ann (Kriesel) Claypool died peacefully on October 20, 2017 in Spokane, WA. She was born in Owatonna, MN to Henry and Elfrieda Kriesel on June 8, 1935.

After high school, Lois attended Mankato State University earning a Bachelors Degree. While teaching in Great Falls, MT, she met her husband (of 56 years) Norman Claypool. After raising their children, she returned to college earning a Masters Degree from Gonzaga University, then taught another decade before retiring.

They were blessed with three children, Todd (Shawn) Claypool, Brian Claypool, Amy (Rick) Byrum and two grandchildren, Jack and Halle Claypool. Lois is also survived by her siblings, Robert (Carol) Kriesel and Jean Oberg; three nieces and a nephew all living in Minnesota.

A Memorial Service will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 4320 S. Conklin St., Spokane, WA on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 am with a reception to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Early Learning Center.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Pine Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center for their wonderful care the past six years.
