Janice Louise Davis, a lifelong resident of Rockford Washington, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at the age of 88. Born October 04, 1936, to Elmer Loftin and Gertrude Hodges, Jan’s life was one of love, laughter, and strength. She was a woman who touched the lives of all who knew her, filling every room with love, laughter, and a dash of her signature spice. Jan married Donald F. Davis on March 13th, 1954, who proceeded her in death after 58 years of marriage(2013), and together they raised four daughters: Cheryl Ann Reed (Steve), Shelley Louise Altmeyer (Randy), Shannon Kay Crewse (Mike), and Charlene Gay Primmer (Steve). She was a proud grandmother to Eric Reed, Marc Reed, Kaci Gipson, Caleb Altmeyer, Jonathan Altmeyer, Jillian Seubert, Marty Primmer, and David Primmer. Jan was also a cherished great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren, she adored them all, she was very close to Lathan. Jan’s life was marked by her dedication to family, work and a zest for life. Jan was known for her sharp wit, spicy personality, and love of a good laugh. She had a talent for telling stories and jokes, some may have been a bit colorful, but would keep everyone around her in stitches. Whether it was a funny quip, or a well timed story, Jan was always the life of the party. When she wasn’t cracking jokes, she was working on crossword puzzles or reading. While raising her family, she worked as a Physical Therapist assistant/CNA at the Good Samaritan Center in Fairfield Washington, for many years. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her. In keeping with Jan’s wishes, the family will be holding a celebration of life at the Methodist church in Rockford, Wa. In the near future. Details to follow as decided by the family.
