It is with great sadness that the family of David “Dave” Donald DeLine announces his passing in Spokane on November 27, 2023. Dave will forever be remembered by his wife of 61 years, Lillian (Irving) DeLine, son Daniel (Jennifer), daughters Denise (Gregg) and Donna (Joe), sister Susan Meade, brother Bob DeLine, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Dave was predeceased by his father, W. Don DeLine and his mother, Marietta “Joy” Krebbs DeLine.
Dave was born on May 29, 1938, in Camden, New Jersey, and grew up in Gloucester City, New Jersey. He spent 21 years in the Air Force serving his country in California, Saudi Arabia, France, Spokane, and Arizona. After his service, Dave retired and moved to Spokane where he continued to serve his community and raise his family. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, the PTO, tutoring elementary students in math, and he loved taking pictures. Dave was a talented wood worker and again, served others as a handyman.
A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 11:00 am at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in memory of Dave be made to Ness Elementary School, 9612 E. Cataldo Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99206, or to the Inland Northwest Council of the Boy Scouts of America, 411 W. Boy Scout Way, Spokane, WA 99201.
