I met Craig about a year ago while doing my weekly delivery of meals to his home.  He was always very grateful.  His devotion to his mother was exceptional.  I pray that his family will find peace and  know the love he had for them.

Words can't express the sorrow I experienced when I heard about Craig. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to his family, friends, and community. 

I worked with Craig at SNAP. I had so many great conversations with Craig. We did outreach events together and Craig was amazing. He always greeted everyone with a smile and made sure that he truly listened and heard each person's story that came up to our table. We bonded over stories, resources, and our love of community. He really embodied a true kind, gentle soul.

Craig and I first met at the University of Oregon. Later we worked together at SNAP and Family of Promise. He always had a warm smile and a hug that would last for ever.  His passion for helping out everyone was almost as big as his servant heart. He inspired me to be better. I will miss him and no words can comfort our community at this great loss. His wonderful legacy will echo on for years to come. Craig your light we promise to carry on. Bethany

I knew Craig while he served at Family Promise as a member of the development team. Craig was one of Family Promise’s best fundraisers and  a champion for families experiencing homelessness. He made a big impact on our community in Spokane and left his mark. He will be missed.

Craig, you will be greatly missed.  I first met Craig when he interviewed me as an employee of the Spokane Valley Fire Department.  Our paths crossed again after I retired and volunteered with Family Promise.  Just a wonderful God-fearing man.  Let it be known that even though Craig is physically no longer with us, he is "more alive today than he has ever been".

My heart is heavy for his family and all who he touched. With the passing of Craig, we have lost a champion for our community. He did far more than responsibly report the news.  Craig used his skills in journalism to lift-up people and causes. With the questions that he asked and the way he wrote he was a doer of good not just a reporter of it. 

Craig’s encouragement of my writing came at a time when I was unsure if I would continue. His words were meaningful, and I have had more joy and purpose in writing the Splash history page – I have been blessed by his impact.

When I think about Craig, I think about his generous spirit, caring heart, his writing talent, his beautiful children, whom he loved so much, and his kind, warm smile. 

Craig and I shared an office when he started at SNAP and from those early days, we formed a friendship that will last a lifetime. He gave great advice, never was afraid to ask questions and question the answers, and he was a friend that all should have been blessed to have. 

I can't imagine the pain his family is feeling during their time of grief. I hope you are finding peace and comfort from the love that Craig spread into the world, coming twofold back while navigating your loss.

My deepest condolences. I will forever remember our talks about life, community, family and religion. He had a heart of gold i will forever miss.

Craig, my brother, my friend. I know you are in the throes of doing HIS perpetual work now, and you  will remain quite busy, working on the Heavenly Frontlines to make this a better place for all. I will miss you terribly--however, I'll never forget our 5 minute conversations turning into hours of fellowship. Those were the rewards of our friendship.

Your shoes can never be filled, and your passion for others is yet to be matched. We will miss that lunch we planned after the Family Promise UnGala, only because the Almighty had more important plans for you.

Memories shared are never forgotten, and that is the blessing I get to keep, as I will always remember you! I will always, speak your name--Craig!

So, for the last time, I'll share this parting memory that ended each conversation with you.

Take care, stay safe, be well, live in the Spirit, and don't let anyone ever steal your joy. As for me, I will do the same, my brother, my friend.

I am saddened to hear of Craig's early passing. He was such a dedicated home teacher for my family. I remember his example of dedication now that it is my turn to serve others. He always had a smile on his face and was always so kind in all his interactions. He was a gentle giant to me. He will be deeply missed.
