Diane, as she was known to her family, was born November 2, 1950 in Spokane, WA, to Frank Williams and Marjorie (Jean) Beyer Williams. She passed away peacefully 9/10/21 from a very short, but aggressive illness.
Diane grew up in the Spokane valley and graduated from University High School in 1969. After high school Diane attended Spokane Community College. She worked at The Crescent department store valley location and then began a career with AL Welding/Liquid Air in Spokane, moving on to Walnut Creek, CA, and finally Miami, FL. She returned to Spokane following hurricane Andrew in 1992. In 1996 she moved to Pullman Washington graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with minors in Addiction Studies and Social Work; including membership in Phi Beta Kappa in 1999. Her educational internship transformed into full-time employment devoting herself to helping others overcome their addictions.
After retiring in December of 2015 Diane spent time visiting and traveling with her close group of lifelong friends and family. She treasured their friendship more than they will ever know.
Diane is survived by her two brothers Robert (Angela) Williams, R. Michael (Jodi) Williams, and her sister Geraldine Scott (Bart); one nephew, two nieces, two great nieces, five great nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Williams, in 1974, mother, Jean, in 2010, and several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Sacred Heart Hospital and Cancer Care Northwest for their kind and committed care provided Diane.
