William Marten Westerman

William Marten Westerman, 79, of Sparta, NJ passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on December 26, 2014. Bill was born in The Hague, Netherlands and came to the US at the age of 20. He lived in Curacao, New York, Beirut, Manila, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Chatham and Sparta, NJ since 1994. He was a vice president of sales and marketing internationally for American Cyanamid and Schering Plough in their Pharmaceutical divisions. In 1988 Bill purchased Allied Metrics in Sparta. He was a member of the Lake Mohawk Golf Club, Lake Mohawk Country Club, Lake Mohawk Power Boat Club and Our Lady of the Lake Church. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Julie Killen; devoted father of Bill Westerman and his wife Jennifer; Julie Ann Westerman and her significant other Jon Turner and grandchildren: Billy, Brooke and Elize.; stepfather of Josephine, Matthew, and Timothy Killen; uncle of Peter Westerman and his wife Annemiek and their children: Bloem, Sarah, Guusje, and Louk and Jean-Marc Westerman and his wife Dominique and their children: Michael, Tommy, and Bobby. Friends may call Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held at 11am Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery.
