Wayne Earl

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Thomas Earl, On April 8, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on May 21, 1945, in Franklin, New Jersey. Wayne lived most of his life as a Sparta resident, relocating to Phillipsburg in later years.

Wayne worked many years as a police officer for the Township of Sparta. Outside of police work, he had a soft spot for animals, enjoyed baseball, and loved playing chess. Wayne will be remembered for his warm smile, friendly greetings, and his eagerness to help others.

He is survived by his brother; Donald Earl (Audrey), his two daughters; Deborah Scarano (Gary) and Donna Tierney (Brian), his five granddaughters; Nicole Scarano, Jordyn Moore, Grace Scarano, Tara Tierney and Maura Tierney, and his two great grandchildren; Declan Moore and Dylan Moore.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ, with prayer service starting at 12:00 pm. Interment at Sparta Cemetery to follow.
