Patrick was born in New York City on August 16, 1950, to Helen Togneri and Patrick Francis Coleman Sr, known as Frank Coleman. He graduated from RiverDell High School in 1968 and received his bachelors degree from Fordham and Loyola University in 1972.
Patrick first came to Stockholm with his parents in 1955 to visit Rock Lodge Club. He became a lifelong member and then came to live in Stockholm in 1973, where he later married and had two children.
He was well-known in his community through his job as a piano tuner as well as his 20+ year service as a volunteer EMT on the Hardyston First Aid Squad. He also served as the Hardyston Twp Emergency Management Coordinator.
He had a very active lifestyle with many hobbies including hiking / backpacking, gardening, ice boating, ballroom dancing, volleyball and ham radio operator. He was a great piano player and tennis player.
He will be fondly remembered for his kind and generous spirit, love of music and offbeat sense of humor.
Patrick is predeceased by his parents and sister Louise Coleman. He is survived by daughter Christine Coleman, son John Coleman, grandson Ma’ayan Lev Schwartz, and life partner Mary Halka.
Visitation for Patrick will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patrick’s name to the Hardyston Fire Department at PO Box 333, Stockholm, NJ 07460, or the NY-NJ Trail Conference at 600 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
