Marie M Corcoran

Marie was born in Jersey City, NJ to John and Mary (Best) Mulvaney. She attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School, and St. Aloysius High School, both in Jersey City. Marie graduated in 1935 with a degree in Nursing from St. Vincent School of Nursing in New York City. She worked for over twenty years as a nurse at Van Dykes Nursing Home in Ridgewood, NJ, prior to her retiring. She is survived by 13 children. Joseph A. Corcoran and his wife Loretta of New Hope, Pa, Cecilia Clauss of Seattle, Washington, Maureen Christou and her husband Chris of Bernardsville, NJ, Kathy Columbo and her husband Chet of Greenwood Lake, NY, Mary Ellen Ryan and her husband Steve, of Sparta, NJ, Elaine Clunan Williams and her husband Pat of Franklin, TN, Gregory J. Corcoran of Lafayette, NJ, Mark Corcoran and his wife Vicky, of Delray Beach, FL, Roseann Corcoran of North Haledon, NJ, Brian Corcoran of Greenwood Lake, NY, Jerome Corcoran of Fairlawn, NJ, Paul Corcoran and his wife Liz of Sparta, NJ, Susan Mary Roman and her husband Rick, of Howell, NJ. 35 Grandchildren, 60 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Family and friends are invited Tuesday 2~4 and 7~9pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. An 11am Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, 294 Newton-Sparta Rd Sparta, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
