Lois was predeceased by her father, Joseph Triola, mother, Lena (nee Cuccia), sisters Ann Chiusano, Angela Ruel and ex husband Michael Cisar. Lois was a devoted and beloved mother to Elise(Scott), Jeanine(Dave), Nicole(Chris) as well as grammy to Emma (Jeremy), Sofie, Lucas, Abby, Isabel, Marty and Ryan. Lois is also survived by her brother Joseph and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois loved everything about family. She was always ready to lend a hand or redecorate something whenever needed. We jokingly dubbed her Martha Stewart. Born in Passaic, NJ, Lois grew up in Garfield, helping out at her family’s dry cleaning business. Lois later went on to business school and to work at Teterboro Airport. Once Lois became a mom, she was at home raising her daughters. She later went to work as an executive assistant for Exxon, Kushner Companies and AT&T. She had an eye for fashion and was always dressed with style. Lois loved to sing. She had a beautiful voice. As she progressed through her battle with Alzheimer’s, it was playing music that would give us a glimpse of the “old Lois” with her singing and doing some dance moves.
Lois’ greatest joy was being involved in her grandkid’s lives. She loved to share with them her interests and awards from when she was growing up. Lois also loved animals. She had many pets throughout her adult life. Her beloved cat Chester is 18 years old and is lovingly being cared for because she had been no longer able to take care of him. Lois loved cooking, gardening, decorating, entertaining, collecting antiques and knick knacks. She became a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Lake in Sparta. When Lois was retired, she looked forward to her yearly election day working the polls.
Lois left her mark on her family and friends with many wonderful memories and traditions that will carry on in her honor throughout the years to come.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 25th at 3:00PM, Resurrection Parish, 651 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph.
