John M Quinn

Sparta- John M. Quinn went home to the Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2013 in Newton, NJ. He was born in Staten Island, NY as the only child to Daisy and John Quinn. He has resided in Sparta for forty-two years, with the past six at Bristol Glen in Newton. John graduated from New York University in 1957 with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He earned an MBA from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1972 graduating Cum Laude. Mr. Quinn was employed for 30 years as a general manager with Allied-Signal Corporation and then as the President and General Manager with Jungbunzlauer, formerly Benckiser, Inc. John retired in 2001. Predeceasing Mr. Quinn is his grandson, Ryan Quinn. Surviving him, is his former spouse of 37 years; Doris S. Quinn whom has been his caregiver for the past fifteen years. Two Sons; Ronald Scott Quinn (Chris) of Sparta, NJ, James Kevin Quinn (Peggy) of Fredon, NJ. A Daughter; Nancy Eileen Lombardi (Michael) of Tallahassee, Fl. Eight grandchildren: Breianne Schwarz (Thomas), Aimee, Amanda, William, Stewart, and Savannah Quinn. Lia and Ali Lombardi, and Great Granddaughter: Victoria Schwarz. Friends and family are invited Tuesday 2~4 & 7~9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. A 10 am chapel funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday followed by burial in Sparta Cemetery.

Mr. Quinn suffered from Parkinson’s disease for over fifteen years and the family request donations to :APDA NJ Chapter
