Helen Mycek Bennett

Helen was born in Franklin, NJ and lived most of her life in Sparta, NJ. She was born September 7, 1919 and passed away on February 17, 2016 at the age of 96.

Helen was an active member of the Franklin and Lafayette Senior groups for many years before retiring from the Sussex Homestead Nursing Home. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who loved working with her flowers, crocheted, knitted, read and enjoying watching the birds. She enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, friends and neighbors.

She was the daughter of the late Frank & Anna (Fila) Mycek and was predeceased by her husband, Floyd in 1972, Edward, her brother, and Jennie Fountain, her sister.

She is survived by her sister, Stella Littell, three daughters, Jennie DelCotto and husband, Eddie, Betty (Sis) Sipley and husband Robert, and Nell Doyle and her husband Jake, two sons, Robert (Joe) and his wife, Pat, Frank and his wife, Linda, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016, 11 – 12noon at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871. Graveside services will be private.
