Laurie,  I had a dream lastnight and saw your mom died.  I watched  the video and it brought back so many memories. My mom and dad have been gone for awhile now. I just wanted to reach out to you girls and tell you I remember the great days we had by the lake and I have pictures of that Easter with the swans!! We were truly blessed !!! My condolences to the family and friends of Fran. I am saddened to hear of her passing, and feel blessed to have known Fran, even though only briefly. No one else had such a positive impact on life at Lake Mohawk as Fran. Her dedication to and obvious love for this place was impressive.

Your Mom is a huge part of my fond memories of spending summer time in Lake Mohawk. I loved the 4th of July parades, having lunch at the club, and all the parties your parents through and my grandparents (Harriet & Don). Always a treat to go by in the boat and see if Jim & Fran were outside, to wave. We truly are sorry for your loss and are in our prayers.

As we have reflected on the huge impact that Fran had on Lake Mohawk and greater Sparta, Sussex County and even in her national service in helping other lake associations, we are struck by how strong and influential she was as an individual. She was a classy lady in every sense of the word -- setting unquestionable style, but was also an effective executive, one of most sensitive and empathetic listeners ever.  Her success at managing the complexity of LMCC, her impact on restoring the Lake and preserving the historical nature of the place will always be remembered.  She was dedicated to the Lake right to the end, helping to form over the past several months and then lead as a trustee the new Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation to assure that those who follow her will benefit from the environment that she had such a big role in creating.  Thank you Fran, we will miss your leadership but remember you always.

We miss her greatly as a good friend, wonderful neighbor for over 35 years. Karl-Heinz enjoyed baking a Christmas Stollen for her every year.We have so many happy memories. I specially thank her of helping us to launch our German Christmas Market at the Lake Mohawk Country Club 12 years ago.
Fran was very special, a great Lady!I am sure she will be in great comfort of Gods arms.

Fran was an exceptional woman and mentor. It was a pleasure to know her.  My heart goes out to her family and friends. May she rest in peace eternally.
