Donna Marie Phillips

Donna Marie Phillips, 66, of Lafayette, NJ, passed away on September 25, 2015, after a short, but very courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Hoboken and Parsippany before moving to Sussex County in 1977. She was a self- employed hairdresser working in Knoll Heights and Knoll View in Sparta. Donna was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by many. Donna was a charismatic, funny, friendly, stylish, and endearingly tenacious and feisty woman who touched countless lives simply by being exactly who she was. She loved and was proud of her Italian Heritage. Donna is predeceased by her sisters: Antionette and Rose Ann Rodriguez. She is survived by her former husband Michael Bevacqua Sr; her loving children: Christa Degan and her husband Sean and Michael F. Bevacqua Jr; her sister Michele Purdue and her husband Bill. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Mia and Vivienne Bevacqua and Justin, Alexa and Ayden Degan and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, September 29th from 4-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ.
