Charles R. Kalfian

Charles R. Kalfian, 87, passed away on June 19, 2013. Charles was born in Weehawken, NJ and lived in Hillsdale, NJ and Maryland, before moving to Pompton Plains, NJ in 2008. Charles was a US Army Veteran of WWII and he was a 1951 graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry. He worked as a Chemist and Vice President for Randolph Products for 37 years. Charles is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn (nee Bedell) Kalfian; beloved children: Karen Kalfian of Marblehead, MA; Richard Kalfian of Leesburg, VA, and Donna Scott and her husband Keith of Sparta, NJ. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Lindsay and Jonathan Scott. Friends may gather Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 1-3PM at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. There will be a funeral service at 2:30pm Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: Hospice of NJ, 400 Broadacres Dr., Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
