Annelie Suffin was born in Hamburg, Germany on May 8th, 1927 to Helena and Hans Baggendorf. She ventured to the US in 1958, embarking on a wild ride when she met and married Richard Suffin. Richie came as a package deal with Jimmy and Jill, who she loved and raised as her own. Then along came Heidi 8 years later.
In 1983, they left the frigid state of New York and moved to sunny Florida! After many years in Pompano Beach, she decided to move into Forest Trace Independent Living Center to enjoy endless games and time with friends. When the pandemic hit, not being able to see her loving friends and family was really hard, so she decided to move into Heidi’s house!
Mornings would consist of oatmeal with word searches and the daily jumble in the newspaper. They created a perfect space for her which she loved, spending time piecing puzzles, crocheting, knitting, playing Rummykub and other games with the family. She found pleasure in feeding Riley, the resident doggie, and walking her to the end of the road to the “monstrosity” home being built, which was always an enigma to her. At the end of the night she would sneak off and play bingo with friends across the pond into the late hours.
Annelie was loved and cherished by everyone that knew her. She will live on in our hearts for all of time. Her family greatly appreciates you being here to celebrate her life.
A graveside service for Anneliese will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Menorah Gardens & Funeral Chapels, 21100 West Griffin Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33332.
