He was born on September 18, 1946 to the late William Fernando Waddell and Margaret Elizabeth Call.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Brandyn Waddell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alicia Waddell; son, Joe Waddell (wife, Jennifer); sister, Patricia Brancel; grandchildren, Maddy Waddell and Jacob Waddell.
Tom served in the United States Navy. He worked within the Nuclear Power industry, where he traveled the United States and all around the world. He taught nuclear power education at the Bismarck State College and online classes in North Dakota. Tom also enjoyed woodworking in his free time.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, North Carolina.
