Garrett was born November 13, 1986 the son of Tony and Sue Dail. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Garrett attended South Brunswick High School where he played on the soccer team. He loved music, fishing, the beach, spending his time outdoors catching reptiles. Garrett was always upbeat, smiling, and carefree; he especially loved his son and enjoyed spending time with him. Some of their favorite activities were fishing together, being at the beach and pool, riding GoKarts, going to Planet Fun, taking boat rides, wrestling in the floor, and playing ball.
He is survived by his son, Mason Gage Dail; his parents Tony and Sue Dail; four brothers, Jason Dail and fiancé Kristy Stiller of Southport, NC, Andrew Dail and wife Stephanie of Verona, NC, Gavin Dail, and Ryan Dail of Southport; four sisters, Mandy Love and husband Clint of Winnabow, NC, Marinda Lennon and fiancé Chase Hildreth, Lauren Dail and Jordan Dail all of Southport; Several nieces and nephews: Mckenzie and Brayden Lennon, Crayton Dail and Colton Mulikin, Nicholas, Addison, and Jacob Love, Layla Dail, and Tinley Dail; an aunt Sandra Pierce and husband Craig of New Bern; an uncle Kirk Dail of Wallace; numerous cousins and extended family; and his special friend Tish.
The family will have visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday January 22nd at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday January 23rd at 11am at 614 W. West Street (the former PJ’s Restaurant) in Southport. A graveside committal service will be held at 4pm on Saturday January 23rd in the Dail Family Cemetery on Hwy 50 in the Pin Hook community near Wallace, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his son Mason Dail at any BB&T bank branch in c/o Tony Dail.
