Thomas Edwards

Mr. Edwards was born on March 17, 1957 in Lenoir County, North Carolina and was the son of the late Joseph Paul Edwards and Ruby Lee Brogden Edwards. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran after serving twenty years. Following his military career he worked at Sunny Point for 23 years as an ammunitions and explosives specialist. He also loved Ford trucks and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Carlton of Moultrie, Georgia, Connie Miller of Snow Hill, N.C and a niece, Leigh Lane Edwards.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline Edwards, of the home; four sons, Kent Edwards and wife Amanda of Kinston, N.C., Matt Edwards and wife Savannah of Leland, N.C., Brad Koonce and wife Wendy of Leland, N.C. and Garry Beam of New Bloomfield, Pa.; a daughter, Bobbi Conrad and husband Allen of Newport, Pa.; two brothers, Joe Edwards and wife Linda of Matthews, N.C., Bob Edwards and wife Lynn of Florida and twelve grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday April 12, 2025 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel with Reverend John Porter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
