Tammy Denise Harrison

Tammy Denise Saunders Harrison, 48 of Winnabow passed away on July 5, 2015. Mrs. Harrison was born July 5, 1967 in Asheboro, NC the daughter of Robert E. Saunders Jr. and Elizabeth Wright Saunders. She had worked as a nurse at Dosher Nursing Center in Southport. Tammy home schooled her four children and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good Christian woman who really knew her bible and had a deep belief in God.

Surviving is her husband of 30 years John Harrison; two sons John Harrison Jr. and Joshua Harrison; two daughters Jessica Flynt and husband Charles all of Winnabow, and Julia Harrison of Supply; her father Robert E. Saunders, Jr. and step-mother Vivian of Northwest; mother Elizabeth Wright Saunders of Wilmington; two brothers; a sister; two granddaughters Jasmine and Jinger Flynt; and her best friend Melissa Stevens.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday in the Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert McClain officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cape Fear Memorial Park following the service.
