Scott was born October 5, 1962, son of the late Emily Anne Walker Pollard. He grew up in Fairfield, Ohio, where he graduated from Fairfield High School. He was a proud alum of the University of Dayton, where he met his wife of 36 years, Jennifer. He was a ROTC cadet, a member of the Rho Rho Rho (PPP) fraternity, and graduated in 1986 with an Industrial Engineering degree.
In 1991, he was called to active duty in the US Army and served in Operation Desert Storm where he was awarded a Bronze Star. After returning from service and earning his MBA, Scott began his career at Nissan Motor Manufacturing in Smyrna, Tennessee. Scott retired in 2017 after nearly 26 years with the company. In 2020, Scott and Jennifer moved to his favorite destination, the beach. Despite only living in Southport for two years, the duo made many great friends, volunteered at community events, and fully embraced their new lives as retirees.
Together, Scott and Jennifer raised their two sons, Nick and Mitchell, and loved every moment coaching and spectating at their many sporting events. He never missed a game. Scott and Jennifer built lifelong bonds with their SRFC Huskies and Rapids families, dear neighbors, and close friends. Scott was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Dayton Flyers and the Chattanooga Mocs. He was known for his dry sense of humor and welcoming personality. He always said dogs and kids loved him.
Scott is survived by his wife, Jennifer Pollard; two sons, Nicholas (Kelsey), and Mitchell; two sisters, Susan Senger (Kevin), AND Kim Feltner (Scott); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Susan Lambe; aunt, Cathy Sweeney (Richie); great aunt, Ruby Clendenin; sister-in-law, Debbie Weiss (Frank); nieces and nephews, Ryan (Megan), Emily, Hannah, Hayden, Delaney, Danielle (Tristan), Justin, Matthew, Morgan (Nick); and numerous cousins.
