Sandie was born October 1, 1949 in Rochester, New York, daughter of the late Robert Arnold Brown and Opal Louise (Reynolds) Brown. Ms. Keefe was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport. She proudly worked as a Federal Security Officer in Buffalo, New York and also in security at St. James Plantation and Brick Landing. Sandie dearly loved the Lord, her family, flowers (especially roses), nature, and playing games. Screen writing and poetry were former passions.
Survivors include her two sons, Dennis George “Keefer" Keefe, II and Joe Cook (Autumn) and grandson Joseph “Peanut” Cook; a brother, Bob Brown; a sister, Mona DeVries (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Brown, and sister-in-law, Helen Brown. She did not wish to have any funeral services. Her parting message was, “My soul is with God. I am the wind upon your face, I’m the rain you feel as tears and sorrow fall from your face, I am the sun that keeps you warm, the stars that blanket you, the moon that lets you know I am with you always.”
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.peacocknewnamwhite.com for the Keefe family.
