He was born in Charlotte, NC on January 15, 1952 to the late Richard Lee and Doris Parker Kiser.
Ken was always an active member of his community. He not only loved to coach youth recreational sports teams but was also very involved in his church by serving on various committees and boards.
He was a passionate salesman for many years in the ink and coating industry and was most recently enjoying retirement on the coast, where he spent his time golfing, boxing and relaxing on the beach. He loved his family and friends deeply and was always willing to generously share his financial acumen with anyone in need.
Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Cox Kiser, and their three daughters, Kendall (Daniel) Latham of Unionville, NC, Kelly (Brian) Barber of Pittsboro, NC, and Katie (Stephen) Knorr of Harrisburg, NC. He also leaves behind his seven cherished grandchildren, Hudson, Blake, Kellan, Charlotte, Gemma, Everette, and Emersyn.
He was preceded in death by his sister Judy Greenwood, his beloved dog Biscuit, and is survived by his brother, Donald (Mary Ellen) Kiser of Greenville, SC, sister, Donna Kiser of Weddington, NC, brother-in-law, Ronald Greenwood of Mt. Airy, NC and aunt, Helen Morgan of Unionville, NC.
The family has decided to postpone services due to this time of social distancing. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held this summer.
