The eldest daughter of the late John and Frances Price, Lynn was born on August 20, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey. Raised in Glen Ridge, NJ, Lynn graduated from Glen Ridge High in 1963. She continued her education by earning a full scholarship to the prestigious Cooper Union Institute in New York City. Lynn graduated from Cooper Union in 1967 with a fine arts degree. Professionally, Lynn worked in Public Relations for the N.J. Department of Education, N.J Division of Motor Vehicles, and the Educational Testing Services. For her work at the ETS, Lynn was awarded the Silver Anvil Award in 1993 by the American Society of Public Relations.
In retirement, Lynn turned her focus to her beloved cats. In 2005 Lynn received the Product of the Year Award from Pet Age Magazine for her work developing a home shelter for cats. Lynn married her husband, John Tumulty, a N.J. Workers Compensation Judge on Sept 14, 1985. While living in New Jersey, Lynn and John were active members of the Hopewell Valley Golf Club. Lynn will be remembered among the Hopewell Community for her Charitable Toys for Tots Christmas parties and her colorful interpretations of Prince’s Cream and Tina Turns What's Love Got To Do With It on the dance floor. Lynn and John moved to St. James, NC in 2007, where for 18 years Lynn was an avid golfer and active participant in the Artisans group. In addition to her husband, Lynn is survived by her sister Keith (husband John) of Alma, GA, nieces Lee and Laura, and sister-in-law Patricia of Trenton, NJ.
Lynn will be cremated and interred at Sacred Heart Church in Southport.
