Mrs. Conner was born April 16, 1950 in Mullins, SC, daughter of the late Jennis and Patsy Turbeville. Karin was raised in the Gapway community near Tabor City. She married Gene Conner on August 22, 1968. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes where she was active in Sunday School and The Wise and Wonderful Director. She had worked at the Brunswick Community College Bookstore, was a member of the Boiling Spring Lakes Rescue Squad, and ran the after school daycare at First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes. Karin loved dachshunds and gospel music. Mrs. Conner loved being outside with her flowers and enjoying the sunshine. She loved everyone and was adored by her church family. Rarely was a conversation had with anyone that she didn't mention her granddaughter Elizabeth.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Conner; two children, Jenina Sellers an husband Chad and Christopher Conner; her legacy granddaughter, Elizabeth Griffin; a sister, Marilyn Dowless and husband Buster; and all her special nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Nell Gwyn and Patricia Kay Phipps.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, December 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes. The visitation will be from 11:00 to noon at the church. Burial will follow in the Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery in Tabor City.
