A wonderful mother of three, devoted daughter, and while a friend of many, she was our best friend. She is preceded in death by her father, Reverend Robert C. Bogan, and her sister Quinette Bogan. She expressed a selfless loving care for children. She was a teacher, mostly kindergarten and first grade, at Southport Elementary, Lincoln Primary, and Bolivia Elementary. She was also a leader of the Parents as Teachers Program. While battling cancer, she furthered her education by earning her Masters of Education in 2009 from UNCW. Always thinking of others and putting family before self, she retired shortly after getting her degree as family duty called, by keeping her twin grandchildren, Eli and Ava Hunt. She loved her church greatly and had many friends with the Lord. Her smile lit up a room, as she possessed a strong, quiet spirit. She was a lover of nature. She will be missed immensely, but how blessed are we that knew her as Mom, sister, daughter or friend. She is now with her Father and Baby Sister. The scripture tells us that one day, we will all be together again. We love you Mom
