John Paul Tomei

Mr. Tomei was born June 25, 1933 in Bayonne, New Jersey the son of the late Pasquale and Mildred Tomei. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Tomei was a retired employee of the US Army Military Ocean Terminal – Bayonne in Bayonne, New Jersey. Mr. Tomei was preceded in death by his first wife Geraldine Tomei; three brothers Frank, Joe and Carl; and five sisters Marie Brown, Agnes Espito, Vera Casterline, Edith Lopez, and Georgianna Tomei.

Surviving is his wife Margie Dosher Tomei; two daughters, Terry Ruane and husband Brian, and Peggy McCurnin and husband Richmond all of New Jersey; a step daughter Angela Bolduc and husband Joe of Boiling Spring Lakes; two brothers Patrick Tomei of Florida and Peter Tomei and wife Elaine of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Jacqueline McCurin and Richmond McCurnin; two step-grandchildren, Brian McCall and Kevin McCall; and three step-great-grandchildren, Aiden, Andrew, and Ashlynne.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 5, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Trent Watts officiating. Burial will be held in New Jersey.
