I just today saw Mrs. Reece's obituary.   She taught me Science and Intoduction to Vocations at Proximity Junior High in the late 60's.  She was one of my favorite teachers.  She truly cared about her students  and that they learned what they needed from Mrs. Reece.  I loved the fact she shared with us so much about her life and family.  She was like a mother to me, truly.  May God bless the memory of Jane H. Reece.

I have not words to express the void in my heart with Jane not here to talk with.  She became such a part of the life of my family and we all will be empty without her.  She was a great friend and both Jane and Milt taught me all about caring and protecting our wonderful loggerhead turtles who are now coming back to lay after leaving their nests on Caswell Beach.  Many will still be asking about her and about Milt in many summers to come.

Dear Jane's family,
For as much as I can, I share your grief. Your loved one will be missed. I knew her through OVUMC where she was a dear soul. I will miss her singing voice in our choir. And, her contribution to the UMW with the chicken pie baking will be a loss. She was a stately woman with a pleasant personality. My life was enriched by the presence of hers.

Jane's dedication to Caswell Beach Turtle Watch was an inspiration to me and the many volunteers she trained. I will be forever grateful to her for allowing me to become involved in the program. We enjoyed many wonderful hours on the beach monitoring nests and interacting with tourists.
