David was born January 20, 1930 to the late James David Peebles and Grace Tussey Peebles of Norfolk, Virginia. David graduated from Norview High School in Norfolk and the University of Virginia. He served his country in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he was a paratrooper. David attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Wilmington. He was preceded in death by his son David Patrick Peebles.
Survivors include his aunt Virginia Tussey Ledbetter, a step-brother, Andrew Henderson and wife Sue, his loving cousins and his very special friend Susan.
According to his wishes, a small get together with friends and family will be held on the back porch at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the neighbors and friends for all their help; a special thank you goes to Father Elliot, Dr. Palagruto and all the caring staff at the hospice care center.
