Gladys Warren Bogan

Mrs. Bogan was born December 4, 1924 in Charlotte, NC to the late Grover Rufus Warren and Bertha Horton Warren. Her late husband was Rev. Robert Bogan, a Methodist Minister, and they were married 60 years, until his passing in 2005. Together they served several Wesleyan and Methodist Churches in the Western North Carolina Conference. She was a loving mother who never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her kindness and happy spirit. Mrs. Bogan was always happy to share her love for Jesus to all she met.

Survivors include her son, Bob Bogan and wife Cathy of Bethany, NC; four grandchildren, Kevin Scott, Cassie Kimbrell and husband Michael, Larry Auman, Jr., and Andrew Auman and wife Jenny; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ava, and Clare; a brother, G.R. Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Calvin Bogan, Sr.; and daughters, Judy Bogan Auman and infant daughter, Quinette Bogan.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her grandson, Larry Auman, Jr. and her caregivers Iris Spencer and Linda Brown for their excellent care over the last several years.
