Mrs. Chapman was born June 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Amedia.
Survivors include her son, Ben Chapman and wife Blakley; a step-daughter, Jannette Testa and husband Len; seven grandchildren, Colton Chapman, Rabon Chapman, Sadie Chapman, Pete Testa, Stephen Testa, Michelle Snead, and Mark Testa; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Edward Chapman; and two brothers, Col. Chester Amedia and Charles Amedia.
Frances was a giver and the matriarch of a tight Italian family from Northeastern Ohio. After retiring to Brunswick County, she enjoyed many years cooking and serving meals, caring for her grandchildren, and attending Bible study with neighbors in the Lockwood Folly community. Granny Franny, as she was affectionately called, will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will hold a private celebration of life service in the summer of 2025.
