Mr. Thompson was born April 28, 1940 in Queens, NY to the late Edward and Doris Thompson. Ed was an Eagle Scout and a veteran of the US Army. He retired to St. James in 2013 after practicing law and working for Habitat For Humanity in New York. Ed enjoyed volunteering with the St. James Fire Department, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Susan; children, Jill Rauss, Edward Thompson, III, Angela Carney, Bradley Dunn, and Colleen Hiner; and seven grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
