Donna Helms Overman

Donna was born June 14, 1965, daughter of Linda Dawkins Ewell and the late Clyde Everette Helms Sr. Donna will be remembered for being a kind and loving mother and grandmother, who was the rock of her family. She had owned Coastal Carolina Cleaning for the past 13 years, and had recently went to work at Dosher Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes where she was a Youth Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and was the event planning coordinator.

Survivors include by her husband, Tony Overman, Sr.; her mother, Linda Dawkins Ewell and husband Perry; two children, Chad Dillahay and wife Natalia, and Jessica Wood and husband Mike Koldys; three step-children, TJ Overman, Jr., Travis Overman and wife Abby, and Isaac Overman; four grandchildren, Ethan Wood, Emily Wood, Lane Dillahay, and Dalton Dillahay; four step-grandchildren, Camden Overman, Harper Overman, Wade Overman, and Hadley Overman; a brother, Darrell Helms and wife Julie; three nephews, William Helms, Joseph Helms, and Brandon Helms; a niece, Ashley Helms; and her father-in-law, Charles Overman, along with numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Everette Helms Sr; a brother, Clyde Everette Helms Jr; her step-mother, Jo Apple Helms; and her mother-in-law, Julia Overman.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes with Reverend Ron Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Cape Fear Memorial Park. The family will have visitation at the church prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
