Mr. Noe was born July 12, 1935 to the late Hevia and Alice Noe. Donald served 20 years in the US Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served in the Special Forces, and had three tours of duty in Vietnam. Donald was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Devens, MA, and Ft. Gulick in the Panama Canal Zone. After he left the Army, he owned a Radio Shack in Fayetteville, and later retired from Duke Power in Southport. Donald loved his family and he loved his God. He was a member of Osceola Baptist Church in Brown Summit, NC. Locally, he had attended First Baptist Church of Oak Island. Donald never met a stranger, he spoke to everyone he met along the way, often asking them "if they knew Jesus". He loved fishing and golfing.
Survivors include his wife Carol Noe; two children, Larry T. Noe and Pamela Sue Hall and husband David; two step-children, Michael W. Bullins and wife Marian, and Timothy G. Bullins and wife Bets; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Noe and a sister, Marion Gates.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Oak Island.
