Mrs. West was born November 4, 1941, daughter of the late William and Mary Eibner. Dolores was a talented artist who enjoyed making porcelain dolls, basket weaving, pebble art, and stained glass. She was a member of the St. James Artisan Club and had sold her work in many local stores. Dolores spent a lot of time making stained glass with her many dear friends at Mystical Reflections in Calabash.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry West along with her three children: Lori Truxell and husband Tom, Christine Pelton and husband Alan, and Jerry West, Jr. and wife Joy. She adored her five grandchildren: Hailey Truxell, Morgan Truxell, Nicholas Livingston and wife Alyssa, Ian Livingston, and Brandon West and loved all of the nicknames given to her by them: GeeDee, Gram-flakes, and Nana-banana.
Mrs. West was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa West, a brother, William Eibner, and a sister, Gayle Swiercinski.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
