Dolores was born November 24, 1929, in Cullman, Alabama, to the late Annie Lee Brown Pylant and Nathan Bruce Pylant. She graduated from Cullman High School, and Florence State Teachers College (Univ. of North Alabama), with an Education degree, majoring in English. She was a lifelong Methodist, and a member of Ocean View United Methodist Church on Oak Island for 38 years, where she will be interred in the columbarium with her husband. She was an avid bridge player, a dedicated Jeopardy fan, and was known to sip a little glass of white wine, occasionally.
