Diana was born in Columbus County on December 28, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Dewey Lee Cartrette and Alene Duncan Cartrette . She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Sue Cartrette. She retired from Burns Security and also was a tele communicator with Oak Island and Southport Police Departments. She was a member of New Creations Worship Center of Boiling Spring Lakes.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry D. Gray; a son, Brannon Gray of Bolivia; two brothers, Gary Lee Cartrette and Michael Cartrette both of Chadbourn.
A celebration of Life Service will be held Monday May 30, 2016 at 11:00 o’clock in the morning at New Creations Worship Center, 3127 George II Highway, Boiling Spring Lakes with Pastor David Mammay officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Diana’s name be directed to New Creations Worship Center, Coastline Volunteer Rescue Squad or Sunset Harbor-Zion Hill Fire Department.
The family would like to also thank Brunswick County EMS for their excellent service and care provided during Diana’s illness.
