He was born on October 25,1957 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn McKeithan; and his father, Frank Bennett of California; his sisters, Melissa Haugen (Jeff) and Mary Bennett Sharp; his brother, Daniel Bennett; and a niece Lauren Haugen.
Darryl loved animals, music and the Duke Blue Devils. He enjoyed spending time with friends and watching television, especially, Everybody Loves Raymond and Judge Judy.
A celebration of his life will be held later this summer.
