Cynthia was born August 21, 1946 in Southport, daughter of the late Homer W. Sherrill and Margaret Elizabeth Larson Sherrill. Cynthia had worked in the insurance industry for many years. She had a love for her grandchildren, sewing, quilt making, and her church. Cynthia had a strong heart and even stronger faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Tori Deviney and husband Dean; three grandchildren, Reed, Evan, and Easton; a brother, Woody Sherrill; a niece, Leslie Green and her family; brother-in-law, Allen Overton; and a nephew, Jeff Overton and wife Melinda.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bill Evans; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Overton.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Southport Presbyterian Church. The family will have visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Northwood Cemetery.
