Charlie died Thursday April 18, 2024 leaving behind his wife Carol who he was married to for seventy years, children Charles Jr., Carolina and Arthur as well as three wonderful grandchildren. He was a proud Navy veteran and retired from I.B.M. after 30 years as an electrical engineer. In retirement he became a published author and enthusiastic amateur table tennis player.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cape Fear Memorial Park.
