Vincent J. Bartolucci, 69, of Plainville, loving husband of Barbara (Sisti) Bartolucci, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. Vincent was born in New Britain on April 14, 1954 and was the son of the late Aldo J. and Benedette F. (D’Amico) Bartolucci. He attended Berlin schools and was a proud veteran of the United States Naval Reserves as a SeaBee. Vincent was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish on the open waters on his boat the “Get Hooked”. Fishing was his true passion and he loved having his family including his wife Barbara alongside him. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union Local #326 of Middletown, the Bristol Fish and Game Club and the CCDL. Besides his wife Barbara, with whom he shared over 46 years, he is survived by his three children, daughter Amy Bartolucci-Herrick and her husband Kevin of Plainville, son; Anthony Bartolucci of Plainville, and son Adam Bartolucci and his wife Jessica of Plainville. Vincent “Grampa” has seven grandchildren, to each of whom he gave their own unique nicknames. They are; Briana “Sleepy”, Marissa “Skelly”, Kayla “Turd the Nerd”, AJ “Cheeseburger” Nathan “Biden” Emma “Strudel Head” and Janessa “String Bean”. He is also survived by his siblings; Andrew Bartolucci and his wife Josie of East Hartland, Lynn M. Bartolucci and her spouse Samantha McCord of Barkhamsted and Donna Bartolucci and her husband Ted Grieder of Southington by several nieces and nephews and by his German Shorthaired Pointer Lilly. Vincent is welcomed into Heaven by his grandson baby Ryan, who was waiting for him with open arms. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life for Vincent on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Faith Living Church, 20 Grove St, Plantsville, CT 06479. Military honors will be accorded after the service. Refreshments will follow in the church hall. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours.
