He was born July 10, 1954 in Hartford a son of the late Pasquale “Patsy” and Frances (Quagliano) Ricciardone.
Ray’s father Patsy opened the Manor Inn in 1976 and Ray along with his brother, sister, brother-in-law and sister-in-law have been involved with the day to day operations. He was past vice-president and treasurer of the Sons of Italy, he was an avid golfer and loved to cook and travel, and was a NY Yankee fan.
Ray is survived by his three sons, Raymond Ricciardone Jr. of Plantsville, Alan Ricciardone and wife Catherine of Windsor and Pasquale Ricciardone and wife Kristen of Southbury; his sister Mary Joyce Cantone and husband Joseph and his brother John Ricciardone and wife Maria all of Southington. He also leaves his three grandsons whom he loved so much, Aiden, Austin and Noah; three nieces, Francesca LaRoche, Lena and Christina Cantone and two nephews, JP and Michael Ricciardone also with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10 am directly at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. His service will be TribuCast and can be attended remotely via link: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/565360178. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, from 3-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Masks are requested to be worn at all services.
