In loving memory of Michael Reisman DDS, a caring husband, beloved father/grandfather and an esteemed dentist who passed away at home on March 8, 2024. Michael, 73, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and generosity that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Michael was a devoted family man. He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Susan, whom he cherished as his partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love.
Michael was a loving father to his four children, Mary Kay (Mike), Jean Marie (John), Elizabeth, James (Julie), and devoted “Pops” to his two grandsons, Lucas and Reis. He took great joy in supporting all of them in their endeavors, whether it was cheering them on at sporting events, attending school plays, or offering words of wisdom and encouragement. His playful spirit, quick wit, and endless supply of jokes brought joy and laughter to their lives every day.
Dr. Reisman discovered his passion for dentistry early in life. He pursued his education with dedication, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Georgetown University, and went on to establish a thriving practice known for its compassionate care and gentle touch. Dr. Reisman's patients revered him not only for his exceptional skill but also for his ability to bring laughter and comfort to the dental chair.
Known for his generosity of spirit, Michael was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His acts of kindness touched the lives of countless individuals and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his wife and children, Michael is survived by his sister JoAnn (Tom), extended family, friends, and colleagues, who will deeply miss his presence in their lives. Although he may no longer walk among us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and inspired.
A celebration of Dr. Michael Reisman's life will be held at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the joy and laughter he brought into their lives. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 9:00 AM at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at church. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Southington Community Services, 91 Norton Rd., Plantsville, CT 06479.
