Mary Ellen Allen

Mary Ellen (Schaub) Allen, 69, beloved wife of Damon Allen, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at home. Mary Ellen was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 2, 1954 and was the daughter of John T. Schaub and the late Mary (Yakubishin) Schaub. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport and retired from the Macy’s Corp. where she was a Counter Manager in the cosmetics department. Mary Ellen was an avid traveler and especially loved to visit North Carolina. She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family. Besides her husband of 13 years, Damon, she is survived by her three step-children, Christopher Allen and his wife Juanita of Versailles, KY, Deeann Romeika and her husband Matthew of Macedon, NY and Nicholas Allen of Skiatook, OK. She was a proud grandma to Tyler Allen and his wife Kristen of New Britain, Cole and Logan Romeika both of Macedon, NY and Zachary Allen of Bristol and also by two great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn Rainwater of Georgetown, KY and Novella Bilbro of Louisville, KY. Mary Ellen will be missed dearly by her beloved Goldendoodle, “Meadow”. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Schaub and her brother William Schaub. All services for Mary Ellen will be held privately.
